Not a cookie, not a cake – just a circle of yum

These are from a bakery ( note the box)
You have to take in the presentation
They are thick, soft and sweet cake-like “cookies”
Some people call them “Half Moons”
To me, food has nothing to do with the planets
The flat ones sold at supermarkets in a crunchy plastic box are not real. Walk by. You need to go to a bakery or at least the bakery counter. They have to be plump and cake-like.
The “cookie” can be chocolate or vanilla
The classic is vanilla….. no need to overpower the taste of the smooth and creamy frosting
The frosting is soft… but not as soft as cake frosting.
They are not cheap… but nothing this magical should be
I will judge how your eat them
Optimized eating is one bite from each side until you are left with a single bite
Of course this last bite should be your favorite flavor
I never know which side I want to end with.. depends on my mood… and my beverage: coffee or ice-cold milk
If you eat one side before the other.. I have to look away
More than one a day is a crime and you will blow up
Keep them in the fridge and they become even more delicious and can last for a day or two
Of course you know that I want one now and the nearest place I can get them is 45 min away.
This is probably a very good thing.
If you have ever had one of these… Please let me know where you are from. I live in Massachusetts.
